Mary-Louise Parker
Mary-Louise Parker (born August 2 1964) is an American actress. Following her Broadway debut as Rita in Craig Lucas's Prelude to a Kiss in 1990 (for which she received a Tony Award nomination), Parker came to prominence for roles in films such as Grand Canyon (1991), Fried Green Tomatoes (1991), The Client (1994), Bullets over Broadway (1994), A Place for Annie (1994), Boys on the Side (1995), The Portrait of a Lady (1996), and The Maker (1997). Parker received a nomination for the Tony Award for Best Actress In the same Play in 2001, for her performance in the role of Catherine Llewellyn, in David Auburn's Proof. She starred as Amy Gardner on NBC's television series The West Wing from 2001 until 2006. For this role, she received a nomination in 2002 for the Primetime Emmy Award in Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series.
