Rochon is a native of Torrance, Los Angeles suburb of Torrance she is the daughter of Zelma Nurse Practitioner as well as Samuel Staples, a business proprietor and graphic artist. Cerritos Senior High School in Cerritos California is the place where Rochon was a student in 1982. Ullerup first appeared first in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 television show. The role she played was Julia Brynn. Her character, Ashley Magnus, was written out of Sanctuary's first and second seasons. Fans were enraged by her departure, and many wanted to see her return in future episodes. It ended in 2012 but not without a heated debate. In 2016, Ullerup was cast as Bree O'Brien in Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas as the estranged ex-wife of Michael Thomas in Asteroid: Final Impact. Ullerup has been a regular character as Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie series, since the year 2016.
